The role of Student Financial Services is to assist students and applicants with financing their education at the Harvard School of Public Health. The staff is committed to providing students and applicants with the information needed to make informed decisions about financing their HSPH education.
Recently, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) published Financing Graduate Education: A Guide for Prospective Students. This brochure highlights helpful tips and information regarding the financial aid process.
Academic departments are the primary source of grant support at HSPH. SFS determines eligibility for and administration of federal student loan programs which make up the majority of aid available. As such, debt management counseling is considered an important service in SFS.
SFS works with academic departments in coordinating departmental funding with federal student loans. In addition, SFS assists departments in processing student tuition and stipend awards.
The SFS staff is available throughout the year to discuss all aspects of loan debt management, student billing, refund processing, and other areas as requested. Staff members are available from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday to assist you in your educational financial planning. The Office of Student Financial Services is located at 708 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115. The office location is across the street from the main buildings of the Harvard School of Public Health.
