Objectives: To promote opportunities and communication around diversity and its role at HSPH to students, faculty and staff.

Committee Description: The Office of Diversity Student Advisory Committee (ODSAC) is a student organization that develops activities for the OD on behalf of the students at HSPH.

Committee members are chosen from diverse disciplines.  The committee primarily works with the Office of Diversity, but sometimes collaborates with the Office of Diversity Alumni Council.  ODSAC aims to promote opportunities for students to enhance their leadership skills, learn about diversity in higher education, and make a connection between what we learn in the classroom and real world situations.

The committee takes on a number of projects each year that include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a website with information pertaining to the objectives of the committee;
  • Hosting an annual campus-wide lecture on diversity in public health;
  • Assist the Office of Diversity in developing lunchtime seminars with current experts on topics related to diversity in the field.
