Dear HSPH Community,
The Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools of public health. CEPH's accreditation procedures require that the HSPH periodically undertake a self-evaluation and submit a self-study document prior to a site visit by a team of qualified peer reviewers. The reviewers validate the self-study during an extensive site visit.
The next accreditation site visit is scheduled for September 21-23, 2009. Our self study document for the 2009 visit is currently underway and will be available online upon its completion. Check this website periodically for updates.
An Accreditation Steering Committee, consisting of alumni, employers, students, faculty, and staff, is overseeing the accreditation process. Written third-party comments regarding the institution will be accepted by CEPH until 30 days before the on-site visit:
